Meet the Principal
Dear Johnson Families,
It is with great excitement that I join the venture in leading Johnson, a school in which I have heard such positive things about.
A little bit about my background: I was an English teacher both at the middle school and high school level. In addition, I also taught instructional English and was a case manager. I then moved to administration and served 3 years at East. Most recently, I was the Freshman Academy Assistant Principal ("Once an E-Rab, Always an E-Rab").
I currently am working on my Ed.D. in Educational Administration: Policy Studies, at NIU. My passion lies in advocating for our youth and ensuring that we are serving the whole student, both academic and SEL.
I have a 6.5 year old daughter, Abia, who is my joy and light in life. I am sure you will see her art work up in my office.
My beliefs: I believe deeply in the students and staff in RPS 205. I also believe that working to ensure RPS is the first choice for all families is crucial. In addition, I believe that education is the one thing that no one can take away from us.
I believe leadership is rooted in relationships, and I am excited to not only get to know each and every one of you, but to build relationships with the Johnson Family and community.
Your partner in education,
